Prof. Dr. Roman Froschauer has received his masters degree in Industrial IT Systems in 2005 from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and his PhD in Computer Sciences in 2010 from the Johannes Kepler University Linz. From 2010 to 2016 he worked as senior software developer and project manager at AlpinaTec Technical Products GmbH, mainly in charge for projects related to aerospace and space applications. Since 2016 he is full professor for technical production IT and since 2018 head of studies for the master degree programm Robotic Systems Engineering. He has strong experience in national research projects as project leader: Human Centered Workplace 4 Industry (FFG #856362), AUTILITY (FFG #867556), PlugBot (FFG #874293), HOPPER (FFG #873987).

Roman Froschauer currently also leads the research group “Smart Automation & Robotics” at the campus in Wels. He has written several scientific publications and also serves as reviewer for confer-ences such as ETFA or INDIN. His research interests lie in software engineering for smart automation systems and robots as well as human robot interaction within industrial environments.
