Facilities

Beside many other laboratories, the research group works mainly in the following key laboratories at Wels campus. These are among the most modern laboratories in Austria and are continuously extended.

Center for Smart Manufacturing

The Center for Smart Manufacturing offers flexible manufacturing. With state-of-the-art collaborative robotics and a flexible conveyor system, manufacturing and assembly processes can be simulated and researched on a small scale.

KUKA Digital Factory

In the KUKA Digital Factory laboratory, the digital twin becomes reality. With state-of-the-art simulation software and a 5m 3D projection screen, production systems can be developed and explored virtually. 

Robotics Lab

In our robotics lab, robot and sensor systems can be tested against subsets of standard NIST ASTM test methods.
