Raimund Edlinger is Assistant Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and PhD student at the Graduate School of Science & Technology (GSST) in the Institute of Computer Science VII - Robotics and Telematics at the University of Würzburg under the direction of Prof. Dr. Andreas Nüchter. He completed the master's degree in Automation Engineering at Wels campus 2013 and the DI(FH)-Diplom in sensor technology and microsystems in 2007. From 2007 to 2018 he worked as research assistant in the MARK project and various other automation projects. He is one of the main responsible persons in the university's robot team and has successfully participated in national and international robot competitions since its the foundation in 2006. Raimund Edlinger is a frequent reviewer of the conferences SSRR, IROS, ICRA and ACVRW. From 2016 to 2019 he was also a member of the technical committee of the RoboCup Rescue League. His current research projects and interests are in scene interpretation, interior/exterior perception, navigation and mapping for autonomous mobile robots.
